Welcome to “The Gym Press Library”

TheGymPress library is an open project aimed at collecting and cataloguing all gymnastics specific and other relevant scientific literature, coaching videos, books, and electronic resources. This is a continuously updated project and new submissions and recommendations are always welcome.

 ARTICLE ARCHIVE

The purpose of this project is to provide coaches and interested individuals with a comprehensive database of scientific and educational gymnastics literature published in journals, magazines, or websites. In most cases only abstracts are available due to copyright and reprinting permissions, however articles are accessible to most university students through their university’s journal databases. Non-students can access articles though University libraries which offer walk-in use of their journal databases or by signing up for a membership. Alternatively, articles can be purchased individually through the publisher. The database is updated regularly with newly published as well as already published articles.

 VIDEO ARCHIVE

The video catalogue provides coaches with a range of gymnastics coaching videos from all over the globe. These videos are not commercially produced, but rather straight to the gymnastics.

SUBMIT A VIDEO : If you would like to submit a video for sale or trade, please contact us for details on how to do this. All video submissions are encouraged regardless of quality, length or format.

 BOOKS ARCHIVE

The books catalogue provides a collection of variaous gymnastics textbooks on subjects such as biomechanics, coaching, technical texts, psychology and more. Book are available for purchase through retailers when available, some are just for reference if lucky enough to find them.

 e-RESOURCES

The electronic resources catalogue provides links and relevant gymnastics coaching website, from gymnstics forums, blogs, magazines, YouTube Channels, etc. Its all about providing a way of finding what you are after, faster, and providing exposure to what gymnastics resources are available through the world wide web
